BREATHING ROOMS – SPACE TO REST AND BE AT PEACE

We want to keep the retreat experience intimate and the environment serene, which is why we usually host only 2–5 guests at a time. Most guests choose a private room so they can fully withdraw into their own quiet space.

The accommodations are peaceful, beautiful, and comfortable – places where both body and mind can truly settle. We hope the room remains a sanctuary for rest, even if you are sharing it with a friend or family member.

At Utula Nature, there are two types of double accommodations: two rooms in the shared cottage and three separate cabins. All options offer the same level of comfort and can be booked for one or two people. In the separate cabins, the beds can be combined into a double bed (please mention this when booking).

Together we care for the space that cares for us

Upon arrival, you make your own bed – a small, grounding ritual that helps you arrive and settle into the space.

 

Before departure, you clean and vacuum your room for the next guest. This is part of Utula’s gentle sense of community.

FOREST BUNGALOWS - SINGLE OR DOUBLE

The separate cabins are simple and beautiful sleeping cottages built in 2021, equipped with glass double doors. If you wish, you can open the doors and let the lake breeze flow directly into the room.

A private mini terrace offers a lovely spot for dining, reading a book, or gazing out over the lake.

In addition to a comfortable bed, each guest has a chest of drawers for personal belongings, a reading lamp, a chair, a wall hook rack, and a mirror.

  • Blackout roller blinds

  • Fixed electric radiator

  • Tower fan

  • Mosquito screens

TWIN COTTAGE - SINGLE OR TWIN

The semi-detached cottage is a round-log building constructed in the 1960s, offering atmospheric and beautiful accommodation spaces. Each room has its own private entrance, while sharing a veranda and a dividing wall.

The rooms are filled with natural light from large windows that open directly toward Lake Saimaa.

In addition to a comfortable bed, each guest has a chest of drawers for personal belongings, a reading lamp, and a wall hook rack.

Mental well-being is important to us - Nature lulls you to rest and sleep

 

Sleep is an important part of mental well-being. Prolonged sleep deprivation in particular can cause many health risks, and it adversely affects, for example, concentration and mood.

You can simply come to Utula Nature just to catch up on your sleep, if that is  what you need. The silence and fresh air will lull you to a better sleep, and first thing in the morning you will see the breathtaking landscape of Saimaa. Open the cabin's double doors and breathe in the fresh air. You will also notice how digital fasting has a positive effect on sleep quality.
