THE JOURNEY TO VENUE IS AN IMPORTANT TRANSITION
Utula Nature is a hidden gem that can be reached by bike, car, train or plane. Sure, arriving in the peace of nature requires a bit of effort and travel, but often traveling serves as a useful transition and facilitates mental detachment from everyday life and is already part of the retreat experience in itself. Correspondingly, a gentle transition makes it easier to return to people and everyday life on the way home.

BICYCLE
If you want to combine your retreat with a bike tour, the Saimaa 120 km cycle route (Lappeenranta - Imatra-Ruokolahti) passes through the village of Utula and we are located 3 km from the route.
Since our package includes bed linen, towels, meals and equipment such as yoga mats, etc., we are the perfect option for cyclists who are traveling light .
You will find our sign Utula Nature on the Kietäväläntie/Vinsterintie junction.
Please note that the 3 km gravel road can be difficult to cycle with thin tires and you may have to balance your bike in places
TRAIN/BUS
If you are arriving by public transport, your final stop should be Imatra Travel Centre. You can easily reach Imatra from Helsinki or Helsinki-Vantaa Airport by VR train.
Reserve a seat for the shared transport to Utula Nature on Mondays, which is included in the retreat price, when booking the retreat.
NOTE: The exact shared transport schedule will be confirmed in spring 2026, when VR publishes the summer train timetables.
If necessary, order a private ride at other pick-up times (100e/way/taxi).
FLIGHT
If you arrive in Utula from further away in Finland or abroad, our nearest airport is Lappeenranta airport.The most popular airport is Helsinki-Vantaa, from where you can rent a car or you can jump on train to Imatra (2,5 hrs).
Many of our customers spend the previous night before retreat in Helsinki, exploring the beautiful city to catch the transfer from Imatra train station on Monday.
You can easily reach Imatra from Helsinki or Helsinki-Vantaa Airport by VR train.

CAR
If you are arriving to Utula by your own car, our address is Saarenkainalontie 102, but the best way to get there is to put the insert Kietäväläntie 179 into the navigator, which will bring you to the intersection of Vinsterintie. There you will find Utula Nature signs which will guide the best route to the beach.
You will drive from Helsinki without stops in for 4 hours, with stops approx. 5 hours.
